No noise at all. Already balanced. Easy installation. OMG this made a HUGE difference in my loft apartment with 20ft ceilings. I connected an 18 inch extension cord to it with a regular remote control and my life is so much better! With an upstairs bedroom and a tiny window, it's usually 5-10 degrees hotter up there. This fan makes it possible! I just turn it on for a while and it cools down immediately. I have air conditioning but it's out of place. This fan sends cooler air down to the upstairs bedroom. Love him! The remote makes it great to operate it right from the bed. For reference, my apartment is about 900 square meters. feet and is fully open. I was concerned that the fan was too small, but it works great for my purpose of circulating air in an open space. I'm super sensitive to noise and motion when I'm sleeping and it's zero noise. I have a $20 remote that controls 3 speeds and a light, but I don't need a light. Works perfectly. My master did it in under an hour and the hardest part was getting to the junction box.
