First, although not listed on Revain, one of the most important factors is that it's AWG 14/3. I needed a long extension cord for relatively power-hungry devices, so I was concerned that the American gauge wire would suffice. It has an attractive, clean metal body that attaches easily with screws. There's a covered on/off switch (so if you've plugged it in and think it's not working, check it). Note that this doesn't claim surge protection like many of these devices, although it does have a built-in 15A circuit breaker. Where I live, lightning strikes would be the most common form of surge voltage, and lightning voltage wouldn't have ratings for a simple surge protector, so I'm switching the electronics just off when it storms.
