Netgear R8000P keeps crashing

Have been using Apple routers for many years with no errors. I bought this unit after reading some reviews only to find the router went down without warning. Resets all passwords and requires a manual reset to get your network up and running. Visit the Net Gear support site and you will see that some people are having this problem even though they have updated the firmware from 2017!
