I'm posting an instructional video here. Please help me out and click 'yes' on helpful if you find this helpful!Ok, this is freaking awesome. I really thought it would be chintzy, gimicky. But, it's heavier than I thought, and is really bright. It comes with batteries, which I really like.But. It doesn't come with instructions, so I'll give you some. The telescoping magnet is NOT a separate piece. Don't shake the box looking for it. I saw the magnet in the center of the flashlight in the photo, but thought the telescoping tool would *attach* there. It does not. That's it. All un-telescoped. The head of the flashlight LOOKS like it would unscrew. It doesn't. I mean, it will, a bit, and you'll get yourself to a place where you can't get the tool out. So, just *pulll* on the head of the flashlight (which slides) and the tool will pop out. Then you can pull it to the desired length. You can shove it back in to that point when you're finished, To get it that last inch or so, pull the head of it down - and twist however much is necessary. I'm sure there's a method, but I don't know what it is.All in all, this is a pretty nifty tool (that we will use often). I got a discount for honestly reviewing this one; but I think I'm going to order another one for my dad. He's a fan of nifty flashlights. :-)
