I really wanted to like them because I love "natural" and "clean" products, but I was struggling to accept the smell. I'm not a huge fan of fermented foods or most pickles, this shampoo-conditioner duo just reminds me of those things. I'm not very sensitive to smells and usually have a good tolerance for various smells, even if harsh, but this was more than I could bear. I went ahead and tried no matter what. I love how natural it is and don't have to worry about putting chemicals or silicones on my hair, which seem to be in about 80% of the shampoos I've come across. It didn't weigh my hair down or feel uncomfortable after rinsing. I also love the probiotic aspect of this shampoo as I also use probiotic face creams and soaps. Overall this is a good shampoo for you and the environment and I would recommend anyone to switch to something like this if the opportunity arises. As much as I wish I could use more natural products like this, I just couldn't get past the scent. I hope they can create something similar but unscented or maybe masked with other beautiful essential oils or scents. I know the added fragrance defeats the purpose of this product and brand, but I know there will be people who can't stand the smell. I gave 4 stars because it's a great product, it's just not for me.
