is perfect for the 2018 model and does not affect the ability to put the screen back as mentioned in other reviews. doesn't scratch like other flip cases and the plastic feels more durable than the cheap flip cases I've had in the past. Keep in mind that the new 2020 MacBook is a little thicker and this case doesn't fit properly, but it certainly fits my 2018. Also, when attaching the bottom panel, make sure you place the backing on the loop first, as it has a lip that should snap into the ventilation area. If you insert the front first, the back will not snap into place properly and will not be flush. as long as it lasts as I expect it to be the best snap case I have ever used and I have literally had at least 15 cases from different manufacturers over the years.
