Review on 🐭 HEXBUG Mouse Robotic Cat GREY: Making Playtime Purr-fectly Exciting! by Evan Martinez

New mouse saves power by turning off when needed

Okay, I have an old Hexbug mouse and a new one. I've moved and merged my parents' old house with my own, so I've got a bunch of stuff in boxes. Somewhere in those boxes is my old Hexbug mouse, which I really like and would give 4 stars for; It's a battery-guzzling machine, however. Still, have fun for the cat. The new Hexbug mouse disconnects during gameplay. Works for a minute and a half then turns off. This is probably done to conserve batteries, but at the same time arouses interest in the cat and then dies. I have to keep pressing the power button on the bottom to wake it up so the cat can play with it. Very annoying. I am not satisfied with this new mouse. I could just return this one and rummage through the crates to find the old one. Hexbug, please make sure the mouse doesn't "sleep" while playing with it. It knows when it's shut down, so this should reset the sleep timer. Come on guys, I'm an embedded programmer and I know how these things work. When you're programming this thing, halfway through, the thought of your single use case should come to mind. God. I'm giving this one 1 star because it's a massive downgrade from the Hexbug mouse I bought last year. I would give 2 stars if I didn't know what the old one looked like.
