At the time of this writing, the same charger is sold under over a dozen different brand names and in two colors: red (I'd call it orange) and yellow; Since they are all identical, I just picked the one with the lowest price. First, this charger is TOO SMART to be good on its own. I own a variety of vehicles, trucks, mowers, and tractors, and several dead or nearly dead batteries. If the battery has less than 2 volts, this charger will not allow charging. Most discharged or almost discharged batteries are less than two volts. Method 1 "Trick" = Plug this charger into one of those $5 Harbor Freight chargers until there is enough voltage to continue charging. Trick Method 2 = Connect a low voltage battery to one of the batteries with high enough voltage for charging. Allow charging until the low-voltage battery has enough voltage to charge. I have dozens of these and have used them for years. One drawback I noticed before charging the first battery is that the insulating plastic covers/grips on the cables cover the copper plated terminals and prevent good contact with the battery. I healed it by cutting off some of the plastic. I intend to replace the power cord with a longer one. I also intend to increase the length of the charging cables.
