The top of the filter looks a little different, as do the grooves on the bottom, but it works perfectly. My picture shows my original which has never been cleaned in 10 years in Phoenix. Who reads dishwasher manuals? I didn't even know there were filters I had to clean. Last year's laundry was bad, and the last month hasn't drained the water. Research revealed that it was completely calcified by the Phoenix's hard water. Pulling out the old, breaking the hardened filling was agony, but this new one went in right away! Clean your dishwasher filters, guys.
