Compact and well built
I expect this descaler to last the six year warranty period. The unit is easy to install and deposits on dishes etc seem to have improved. I am planning to install a two stage filter to improve the taste of the water. If, like me, you don't like salt, this is a good compromise, but it doesn't soften the water. The fittings and associated connections are plastic, but I've tightened them fairly firmly and they aren't broken or leaking.
