I used to carry a small bag full of assorted pens and a small sketchbook, but I found that my pen (inside) broke badly. I hate drawing and then the tip falls out of the pencil and falls out every time I sharpen it so I looked up how to prevent this and some blogs have suggested slotted pencil holders for each pencil. I found this darling and decided to try it out with the new Arteza colored pencils. So far I have never had broken pencils from a pack and I use them very often every day, for example. I like this size because I can put my sandpaper, eraser and sharpener (tiny) in the big slots in the first pocket. Really great little pen holder. Highly recommended for the traveling artist or casual draftsman etc.
