This is my first pair of riding shoes. I usually wear full leather motorcycle boots but the summer heat is too intense so I took a chance on these. They are an inexpensive solution for me. I wear men's shoes 8.5 and ordered them in this size. Fits perfectly. For now, it's a very comfortable shoe for warm-weather riding. They really feel like slightly stiff sneakers and I actually forget they're motorcycle shoes. More comfortable than my Chuck Taylor high tops. In fact, I forgot to change them immediately at work and wore them for a while until I remembered. The green laces that glow during the day look nice, but I've already ordered gray replacement laces (54 inches) for them. Once the laces are reversed I can probably create a business casual look at work. I'm not sure how durable the velcro and flaps will be, so I don't plan on using them much. I'll just untie the laces and put a shoehorn on them. This prevents wear and tear on the back in any case. It rained today and the grip on wet roads and concrete was good. Not the kind of shoe I would wear on sand, gravel etc but it's not made for that. Perhaps the only thing they could do to improve it would be to add a lace loop at the top of the tongue to keep it from sliding down the shoe. Now think about using water repellents. The hard part is avoiding gas, oil, grease, etc. so the soles don't get eaten. You could spend more for something like this but I'm not sure you need it.
