I don't use them for jewelry; I use them on my keychain and they are great. I was worried the little ones wouldn't hold their shape after being given a particularly large key or something, but that wasn't a problem. You are very small. (I didn't measure them to see if they were really 9mm and 12mm.) For reference, the larger of the two is small enough to fit entirely on one of my keyboard's letter keys. There is a downside. In some large rings, the ends of the coil of metal barely overlap, so the metal is three times as wide on a tiny portion of the circumference. If a particular hole is very small, this small section three wide can prevent you from putting on the ring. Only about a third of the larger ones and none of the smaller ones.
