I'm glad I did some legwork and checked.
Excessive diaphragm leakage has occurred. The block was installed in '93 when our house was built, rather than doing a remodel I decided to just replace the whole block. I called my local plumbing company and they charged me 800 for the lead free install and another 300 for the install. I'm glad I did a little work and searched online for this device. $230 later and an hour of installation seems a lot better than paying contractors' installments. Be sure to follow the Pressure Relief Procedure, otherwise a large volume of water will leak from the vent. Two pipe wrenches, Teflon tape and a screwdriver are sufficient. Much luck
