Neoteck Level Box NTK034 actually has a screen resolution of 0.01 degrees as advertised, while the similar AccuMaster 7434 only has a screen resolution of 0.1 degrees (I bought both - see photo). I prefer 0.01 degree resolution like Neoteck and round it up myself. Both devices required custom calibration. A NOTICE. Even after calibrating on a flat surface, the Neoteck was about 0.2 degrees off at 90 degrees (e.g. stuck to a fridge), although it should be within +/- 0.1 degrees at that position (a star deducted for this issue). . [Inaccuracy can be assessed by rotating the device 180 degrees while holding the magnet and comparing the readings.] Both devices stay on for about 3 minutes after the last "movement". However, Accumaster leaves the backlight on all the time (until 3 minutes have passed since the last "movement"), while Neoteck turns off the backlight after 30 seconds of no motion (the backlight turns on again when there is motion). Both devices drew around 16mA with the backlight on, while the Neoteck drew 7mA with the backlight dimmed. The Neoteck block is more sensitive to movement and therefore usually stays on when the AccuMaster is powered off. Neither the AccuMaster nor the Neoteck Level Box have perfectly square plastic sides, so expect slight inconsistencies when measuring with the top or side face. Also, the magnets are only on the bottom. The AccuMaster will not turn off if the message "Err" appears on the display while holding the power button. Neoteck doesn't have this little problem. Without batteries, the AccuMaster weighs around 73g and the Neoteck around 70g. The AccuMaster comes with a two-year warranty, but Revain is not listed as an authorized dealer on the Calculated Industries website. . Neoteck only has an 18-month warranty, but Neoteck is based in China. (Both devices are made in China) I prefer the higher resolution Neoteck display, but other than that I'm happy with the functionality of both devices.
