This is the second time I order these bags. I've used them in the freezer and fridge. Food stays fresh much longer. So far I haven't had any problems with air leakage. Using pouches saves time and effort. I use the smaller ones to store enough lettuce for a separate salad. When the air is pulled out, the lettuce looks like it has been reduced to one big shriveled mess. But when you open the bag and let the air out again, the lettuce looks great and comes out just as crispy as when it was originally stored. Iceberg lettuce keeps for several weeks and is still crispy. This has saved me money because I don't have to throw away the salad for days after opening it and the cheese doesn't spoil any longer. I have been able to open and reseal the packages with good results. The key is to keep the top of the bag clean to get a good seal. I like to fold the top of the bag about an inch or two before I start stuffing things in. Then I unwrap it when I'm ready to seal the bag. This keeps the top of the bag clean so it seals well.
