I bought these for my mother-in-law's mountain cabin and they fit perfectly. First, she's a conservative; Jams, jellies, pickles, applesauce, if it fits in a jar, she can. Second, the sea green is a delicate pastel, not too flashy, and is described as shabby chic. They're made of ceramic and resemble old-style mason jars, but the lids aren't the usual metal screw tops used on mason jars, as they're part of the mold and painted to look like it. The shaking holes on the top aren't adjustable, but we had no trouble spilling a lot of salt on the top. Any moisture concerns can be resolved by adding rice to the salt shaker. They hold 3.5 ounces each, so are smaller than they appear in the photos, but 8 ounce shakers are available if you need them. They also come in other colors including red, clear, and even aged white, which is pretty cute. The price is affordable and there are many other kitchen items and utensils to match your set. I'm currently looking at ceramic measuring spoons for your kitchen.
