I have tried so many styles of dog shoes for my King Charles Cavalier #13 and nothing remains but shoes with zippers and velcro. They fit my dog best (I'm still wearing shoes I bought a year ago). Unfortunately, her back legs are smaller than her front legs, so I need to make sure the velcro straps are very tight around her ankles. During the walk, I periodically check to see if anyone has moved into a snowdrift. They are easy to clean. Zip it up, attach Velcro, throw it in the washing machine and then in the dryer. If I have delicate laundry in the wash, I put them in a laundry bag.
