I love using my pressure cooker / multi-cooker. I mean there are many things you can do in it. But what I hate about pressure cooking is you have to wait for it to build pressure and then cook and then release. I mean, the pressure cooker cooks fast. It's all waiting for other things that can be a pain. So I figured I'd look for a second pressure cooker/stove to help with my impatience. After reviewing a few of them, I settled on this particular model. It included all the features I needed and came with a two-year warranty. My pressure cooker arrived and I was dying to unpack it. It included all the accessories my first one made and then a few others. There was a measuring cup, a rice spoon and a coaster. But also included in the box was an extra silicone O-ring...a must if you use it a lot...grab some "finger gloves". The last one was a pleasant surprise. I knew I would love this pressure cooker. The pressure cooker/slow cooker has a number of pre-programmed settings. Some of them...like pressure cooker, slow cooker or rice...I will definitely use. But there are a few.... like mush.... I get what they're for. To each his own, I think. There's even a sous vide feature that I'm dying to try. The plate appears to be well made. It is mainly made of heavy plastic and stainless steel. It feels solid, like my well-known brand. And the pot is stainless steel too... the best you can get. It's 6.5 liters, so you can do whatever you want with it. Pot programming is very intuitive. I didn't even have to read the instructions. Simply select a programme... set the time... and get started. It is very similar to my other one when it comes to how to work. And the company includes a really good cookbook to get you started. This is one of the best products I've seen with a stove. But the biggest test is how well it works. So I decided to use my new stove to make some of my favorite "Apple Juice Ribs". My current pressure cooker does the job just fine, so I figured this one would do the same. I continued to cook the ribs as usual...lots of salt and pepper...added apple juice to the pot...then the ribs...then brought to a boil. Typically the ribs take 25 minutes to cook, with about 5 minutes on each end for the pressure cooker to press down and release. So I followed the same instructions as always. The cooker built pressure in about 8 minutes... a little slower than my other one. I let it cook for a full 25 minutes and then release the pressure on its own. It took about the same amount of time. And when everything was ready, I opened the stove and... voila... my ribs were cooked to perfection. Fry a little for color and they'll surely "fall off the bone" delicious. I know I will benefit a lot from this oven. It matches my other perfectly. I recommend you try it.
