Bought a pair based on good reviews to dry out our basement after a small flood in the basement that happened while we were on vacation. I chose 1/2 hp fans because we rented 7 1/2 hp fans from a local gear rental that were good and powerful. once it was turned on. It looked like the bearing was starting to fail even though it was brand new. To make matters worse, it blew about half as hard as rented fans. Generally no competition. I think even if it didn't creak it wouldn't be what I expected from a 1/2 HP fan. Soleaire returned to the box and rejoined Revain the next day. Thanks for a great comeback, Revane!
