There are problems with the electricity in my small apartment. To be honest I feel like I'm always looking for outlets and to be honest I'm surprised my electricity bill isn't that much higher. But I digress. I bought these because I needed a few more parts for the house. Specifically, one behind the TV in the bedroom and I wanted to put it next to the bed. Even though I have a USB hub on my bedside table, I still wished I had outlets on the other side of the bed for things like my lamp and clock, but I also wanted the convenience of USB ports because I have products (USB rechargeable Products ) that came with USB charging cables but no power outlet. I honestly thought it was pretty cheap and silly, but I think some companies save money this way, so I think it's good that things like this surge protector exist. Things are going well. I really enjoy it and I could order more. What I REALLY like about them is that the actual jack is turned sideways instead of up and down, so it's great for large game console plugs and side plugs. The only downside is that you're trying to connect something. and it's dark because every time I forget that the sockets are next to each other and not traditionally up and down.
