My husband works in a factory where we have to buy his uniforms. When he ripped a pair of pants, we didn't want to pay for new ones, so I bought patches. The product is packaged as expected. I smoothed them out in two different places on my pants. At first they worked like a dream. After several washes they started to peel off at the edges. I have read the instructions to wash inside out and do not tumble dry. I ironed them again and followed the washing instructions. That was enough for a few more washes. The fabric of the patches is quite strong and I didn't want to give them up just yet, so I sewed the edges of the patches. They've been washed a few more times and stayed that way. I haven't tried any other brands so I have no way of comparing them. I don't know if other brands are chipping at the edges as well. Overall I gave this product four stars because I get what I need, I just had to hand sew the edges to make it work. It saved me from having to buy a new pair of pants anyway.
