Funnel feeders are much better than cups. Less food waste. Good seed is not lost hiding under the hull. You can see so clearly with seeds that you won't forget when to refill and it will be less frequent than with cups. Helps prevent "poop" from entering the seeds. I bought 4 for my breeding cages. They didn't stick well to any of the four different cells I have. So I just put them on the bottom of the cage. I prefer it anyway. Food is the only thing my birds do at the bottom of the cage, so why waste valuable upper "fly and play" space with food? The ring was not needed as the silo was very stable on the bottom of the cage (I made a toy out of it). I was pleasantly surprised that they hold water very well. I will order more.
