I bought this product to connect my travel router to the internet via the ethernet port when I'm out and about in hotel rooms. The compact design is nice and hardly noticeable in my computer bag. Easily expands to 3ft or any length under 3ft you want, recoil is smooth and easy. The flat cable design never tangles and is easy to use. The connection speed is constant and FAST thanks to Gigabit technology combined with gold-plated connectors on both ends. I use my travel router to create a secure personal Wi-Fi network by connecting this product directly to the hotel's Ethernet port and the other end to my travel router. The WiFi speed is lightning fast and reliable, but as usual, internet speed ultimately depends on the hotel network I'm connected to. I couldn't be happier with this product. Now I don't have to leave it in a hotel room because of its small, compact design!
