Review on πŸšͺ Kohler K-CB-CLC1526FS: Frameless 15x26 Aluminum Medicine Cabinet for Bathroom; Surface or Recess Mount Option by Branden Type

Design flaws and shelf pins don't match

Problem 1: This cabinet is designed in such a way that there is a gap between the wall of the cabinet and the shelf to which the cabinet is to be attached. This isn't a good idea if you're trying to clip a first aid kit to a bobby pin. This seems obvious to me. Kohler disagrees. I called them and they basically told me to grind and that they have been making this cabinet for years. Problem 2: The cheap plastic brackets they ship with the cabinet don't want to go into the holes drilled in the side of the cabinet. . After much effort I managed to insert the clips into the holes. However, when I was about to insert the shelf, I found it extremely difficult to slide it through the tabs at the top of the clamps, to the point that I was afraid of breaking the shelf's glass. Another stupid design. Again, Kohler dismissed this issue and told me that if I used other clamps, which they were reluctant to send me, I would void the warranty. I haven't been able to use this first aid kit for two weeks now because the clips I ordered from Revain don't fit the pre-drilled holes. Now I have to buy metric drill bits to enlarge the holes to accommodate the 5mm pins on the clamps I ordered, which btw are the same size as the pins on the cheap plastic clamps Kohler came with the unit. Conclusion: Anyone who expects Kohler to take care of their problems will be disappointed. If you've ever called Kohler, you know that people who answer the phone feel superior. Ask for a supervisor and you will get the same. Kohler needs to fix numerous design and product issues and stop using the tails of the reputation it built years ago.
