Great light if you're looking for a fun DIY project that you can safely set up so it doesn't fall into the aquarium. After plugging this thing in, I'm pretty sure it's not for aquarium use. So if you're not the type to use a spotlight for an aquarium, you might be looking for a little less light. The device is 45cm long, so the mounts are useless for anything less than 50cm wide and more than 85cm wide; Expect to use a hanging mounting kit at this point or make your own mount. However, this light gives you far more control than any aquarium light on the market I've seen, and can be connected to an app for scheduling and higher color capabilities than the remote offers, with a bit of work to get the instructions and Google Home or to decrypt Alexa for voice control. This thing is blindingly bright and I'm running it with the included 8Amp power supply at around 60% of maximum power (takes up to 15A if you're trying to blind your fish + a room full of people). Not a beginner, but definitely a great RGB+CCT lightbar!
