I bought these shoes to replace another pair of New Balance shoes. I use them for running and always buy shoes a half size larger than my usual size to relieve swelling in my feet on long walks. Well, even with the extra half size, the toe box is way too narrow relative to the rest of the shoe - and that's before I even left the house. I've tried untying the laces multiple times but the toe box is too narrow and tight compared to the rest of the shoe; the proportions are wrong. Had I known that, I would have gone for the fullness, but I haven't needed it in any other New Balance running shoe. Also arched supports could have been better; As they are, they are too small. Suffice to say I would only use this shoe for short walks. In fact, I'll probably put them on the donation pile. One more note on the lacing system, which is SUCK in one word. Instead of round eyelets that allow the laces to move around for easy adjustment, these shoes have slits that are too tight to hold the laces in place very tightly and not bend them at all. New Balance needs to fix this as it is a fatal bug. Here's the problem: after ripping out the laces and starting over in hopes of loosening the shoe enough that I can wear it, the sock is still TO HERE. Don't buy these shoes. Simply not.
