My elderly mother-in-law visits us sometimes and has no way of dealing with a traditional remote control. And this remote control has large, backlit buttons that make it easy to use. I read how difficult it is to program this remote control; but i had no problems. I used the "Scan" method, not the "Learn" method. After about 20 presses of the "Channel+" button the unit was programmed (I knew this because the channel had changed) and then I pressed the mute button to lock it out. All buttons worked so no further programming was required. soon the law will come into our house; Can't wait to see how this new remote works for you. I expect that she will understand this without difficulty.
