This is the second charger I have bought for my daughter in the last 13 months. She is a student and uses her laptop almost every day. It is only connected when the battery needs charging. The first charger exploded with sparks after about 8 months of use. The current one stopped charging after 4 months. These are genuine Dell chargers. I contacted Revain who said it was under warranty but I have to contact Dell for warranty. I'm on the phone with Dell right now, I've been transferred from the computer system to the inspiron department, to customer support and finally to tech support. Technical support cannot confirm the warranty. I don't know the solution, but I don't recommend buying these chargers. I'd rather buy her a brand new laptop.
