When I opened it to put in the new batteries, I found a white powdery substance from the old batteries still inside. I learned that this powder is potassium carbonate and if not cleaned in time it can penetrate deeper into electronics and damage circuit boards. I cleaned it up and hoped for the best, but the guitar, to put it simply, doesn't spin. I already have the correct key and have tried all the tricks I found. But I think it's safe to assume those old batteries were there long enough that the potassium carbonate ruined everything. money and time.
