Although it's a mesh shoe, it doesn't have the typical mesh look. They are a complex looking grid. At least the pink ones I have. These are slippers, but they don't hurt and don't mark your legs. In fact, they have extra cushioning. I could tell from the photos that they have more cushioning than other slip-on shoes, but I wasn't expecting them to have the same cushioning as they actually have. The memory foam is very nice and comfortable. The rubber outsole has good traction. The insole is removable, which only extends the life of the shoe as the insoles can be swapped out.
