For reasons unknown, most toothbrushes use bristles that are much harder than they should be. I might as well brush my teeth with the wire brush I use to clean my grill. I'm in my 30's now and some of my gums have receded a bit from the coarse bristle brushing. Mostly I use Sonicare which I would recommend for anything but sometimes it's too loud when you're around sleeping people. These brushes are great for getting the job done and won't irritate your gums. The bristles are really soft and so thin they even get caught between your teeth a bit which is nice. The only complaint I have is that the heads are block shaped so when you try to brush your molars they hit your teeth. . Not the end of the world, but noteworthy. And the cases they fall into are terrible. They're just waiting for you to give them the wrong look so they can break. I can promise they will click on the hinges the first few times you open them. If you're buying them for cases, don't. They are still good but I would invest in other travel cases to replace as they inevitably break.
