I have several of these larger hat boxes. It has a few other features like a leather strap (which doesn't really add much for my needs) and elastic straps inside at the bottom to keep the hat in place. I love this hat storage style for storing many off-season hats at once. In this winter storage box I place several summer hats stacked on top of each other. The sides aren't stiff and I wouldn't put a very expensive hat here as it can be crushed. But for light storage it is good. This is a pretty standard price for this type of hat storage. I collect hats and have many ways to store them. This is best for soft-packable headgear that won't be damaged beyond repair when flattened. Otherwise, I recommend adding a cardboard panel and base to make it more rigid and hard hat safe. But then it's better if you just get yourself a more traditional cardboard hat box, as rare as it is now in actual hat sizes. This smaller model was smaller but still fit in all my packable summer hats in a dust bag so it suits me.
