Bought as a gift. The box that the watch comes in was packaged in a soft mailing envelope. Not the best protection for the watch, luckily the original packaging wasn't crumpled in transit. The watch itself is quite durable and doesn't have a weak chain. It came loose from the watch stand during shipping, which must have been a serious infraction considering how difficult it was to put it back on the watch stand without cutting the zip ties. So I'll try it and see what happens. The watch itself is a delight to look at, the four parts attached to the chain are clear and bright. The chain is not like the rough porous metal found on cheap costume jewellery. The watch itself is difficult for me to read, the hands are thin and disappear in front of the pattern on the background, but I think the small design really drew me in.
