Brush works well. It's soft enough for my specialty china but hard enough for most pot and pan work. It was solidly built and feels good in my hand. My partner also likes that he keeps his hands slightly away from the front of the bowl. We've had it for about a month or so and it showed very little wear, maybe just a bit in the middle of the bristle pad where the bristles get the most pressure. We made sure to air dry it upside down as the bristles get a bit soft when wet and seem to bend if stored at the wrong angle.
