So, I have a large collection of vintage mics from the late 30's - early 80's. What do all these things have in common? They're designed to screw directly onto a mic stand, making changing them a bit of a hassle. In addition, the proximity to the tripod connection and cable connection makes problem-free positioning difficult in many cases. However, several of these Quik-Release adapters are insanely easy to swap out. These little things are durable, attractive and most importantly, they WORK. They also provide extra room for the risers so the cable doesn't interfere with the post or boom which is AMAZING. So yes, if you have a vintage mic (or one of those modern vintage mics) this is for you.
