Just a year later our R85 started making a terrible bang/rattle. Like the belt slipping or the gears slipping. It was hard to tell if the problem was the motor assembly or the brush so we ordered this to see if it would help. Luckily it worked. Comparing the old and new brushes, the rubber cap on the non-drive side of the brush was worn and making noise. A fresh brush solved the problem and he's back in action. This brush appears to be of the same quality as the factory. Background on our particular R85: This machine was purchased new in May 2019 and is only used to clean hardwood floors but has to deal with two male bullmastiffs and a long haired cat.
