I bought this brush once before and it broke. The handle broke off of the base after a while. It lasted for several months and my hair is very thick, so I wasn't too displeased with the quality. I wanted another a good while later and chose this one again. My hair is much thinner now and like I said, the price is too good to be beat.Last night I blow dried my hair and literally set the fire alarm off. As shown in the picture, I singed part of my hair completely off. I noticed that another small portion of my hair right at the front of my face was discolored as shown (the orange color), obviously burnt as well. It didn't break off but is noticeable.I partially blame myself because you have to be careful when heating your hair, but I have used other heated styling brushes and tools and this has never happened. But I didn't see any sort of warning about overheating on this product AND it broke once before. That is why I give it 3 stars. I will continue using the brush with my hair dryer on medium heat.
