Review on MTMSK15 Multi Technology Magnetic Stripe Reader by Reginald Sealy

I have these in my apartment building so I wanted to check them out. BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU RECEIVE THIS. They are designed to work exclusively with Xceed ID cards. They use preconfigured authentication keys, so they won't even read another card. This can be changed, but you will need a special card from Acti to change the serial number reader. You can also work with them to get a card that they can program to work with custom authentication. ALSO. The RS485 version has arrived. It still does Weigand. On boot it checks if there is an RS485 connection and if it doesn't find one, it falls back to the Weigand protocol. The real version they sent me was MTMSK15-485 which is better. I haven't used the magnetic strips but based on my research they are still good.
