Bought a year ago. When I first got it I followed several online instructions and videos but couldn't get the Wii Mote to work with the trigger and button A. No matter which emulator I used, the result was the same. At the time I didn't really feel like it was a dolphinarium so I didn't return or refund it. So I decided to put the wrench aside and come back to this daunting task later. Due to the pandemic and trying not to get distracted, I tried again. Same problem again. So I started searching the internet again and after several hours of trying I found a post on the internet in a forum that said the Dolphinarium needs to be plugged into USB ports 1 or 2 on the Pi in order for the emulator worked properly with it, and it wasn't well documented. I have modified my arcade a lot with USB lights and other USB devices in addition to buttons and joysticks. I invested in a self-powered USB hub that the dolphinarium was plugged into at all times. So I moved one of the other USB devices and plugged the dolphinarium into the USB port next to the Pi's network port. Reboot, and then suddenly several different emulators in the game configuration picked up the trigger and the A key I was trying to get working finally worked. I was so excited. To my knowledge, no video or online guide lists this as a requirement, except for a poster on an online forum I found. If you're having trouble using RetroPie, make sure it's connected to USB port 1 or 2 next to the network port! Well I will shoot bad guys, ducks, aliens or zombies.
