I ordered this after the car wash I use (I have a monthly subscription) finally chipped part of my front license plate. (The sides buckled with every wash and eventually one side broke off.) This was more of an OEM failure as my 2012 Nissan Murano's faceplate bracket didn't offer full panel support like the car washes. After getting the new plates, I didn't want to wash the car until I was sure the new plates would survive. I couldn't find anything at the local auto parts stores that offered full plate support. After checking out some Revain and reading reviews, questions and answers, I ordered this Dorman help! 68148 License Plate Holder. It is heavy and easy to install. I've washed the car six times and there hasn't even been a minor negative impact on my plate. This is exactly what I was hoping for. Hot damn! I highly recommend it.
