When I first tested this cable by connecting the Rode Wireless Go II to my iPhone 8 it worked great. Then I decided to use it for a project filming video and recording audio but it didn't work. I have tested this cable with multiple phones and iPads and it no longer works. Phones recognize that something is plugged into the headphone jack, but the microphone input is not recognized. I'm using an Apple 3.5mm to Lightning adapter and it works fine with headphones/mic for sound recording, so I know it's not the right adapter. The only thing left in the audio chain is this cable. Don't waste money.
