Review on PUR Reduction Replacement Filter - Certified Replacements for Optimal Water Purification by Tyler Gannamani

I've been using polyurethane jars for many years but this is the first time I've bought this Lead Reduction replacement filter. I used to buy a "Basic" replacement filter, which I must have replaced at least 10 times. But I decided to buy a replacement lead reduction filter and this filter doesn't even taste like it filters anything. This so-called "filtered" water is terrible, it tastes like I'm drinking lead. I used to use jug water for cooking and coffee on a daily basis and couldn't understand why each tasted so different. Then I finally got tired of drinking water alone once I ran out of bottled water (I know I need to stop buying bottled water). I knew right away that it wasn't bad vegetables or bad ground coffee, it was water from a "lead reduction" filter. I'm not sure if I'm going back to "Basic" with the blue cap because I'm now questioning the "PUR" brand.
