On the second donning, the webbing started where the buckle was loaded. I've had braided leather straps for years before they were worn like this but I've been snookered by straps that looked like leather but weren't and won't be the last. I was specifically looking for a "leather" belt. The first line of Revane's description reads "100% Leather". It looked like the color I needed so I bought it. It looked/felt like leather so I packed it for a week's vacation. When it showed signs of wear after wearing it a second time, I took a closer look. Inside the tongue (where the buckle is attached) is printed "LEATHERZunge" and "GUIDE LACE" in small print. That's about 3 inches of leather on 39 inches of plastic trash.
