Review on Arteza Real Brush Pens: 96 Professional Watercolor Paint Markers for Painting, Drawing, and Coloring - Non-Toxic with Flexible Brush Tips by Linda Diaz

3.5 stars is a good mark for the price (when on sale) but many similar colors

, I received them today and they are fine and I look forward to using them for my tricky purposes. I can understand why some people say markers feel dry - they feel sticky (hard to explain) and you have to slow down to get good coverage. I know my other real brush markers are similar (and can look like a dry brush if you move too fast), but they feel different - like syrup or something. I have the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and they are similar, so if you have Zigs you don't really need them (but if you're a handyman we know to buy them and make sure we don't really need them , huh ?) Anyway, there are a few things that struck me: The bristle part of the marker is all different sizes - some longer, some shorter. Does not affect usage, just for info. Some markers have lost a few bristles. Good again, but I think there are some quality control issues. Some of them have 1 very long stubble (not sure what you can tell on black). It actually affects usage because it's hard to control. I think I'll trim these bristles down to their normal length at the end. The colors are really similar and the blending isn't the best, which is probably my biggest complaint. There are 24 to 27 shades of green (more if you count the turquoises), while there are only 3 shades of yellow and maybe 2 or 4 true reds (the rest is orange or pink). I bought them on an Uber sale, so I'm not too upset, but if I paid even the regular $68 price tag, I'd be upset. (I think I ended up paying $48 for it). Finally, the caps are quite difficult to remove. I think that's good, because I assume that no air gets in. But if you have weak joints like me, you might find it difficult to use many different colors unless you uncap all the colors you want to use and take them off until you're done. If you really want to try these I recommend getting a set of 48 or a smaller set as you really don't get 96 different colors with that.
