I recently replaced my sander with a 5" Festool ET-ESC as I was fed up with the vibrations and constant changing of the sanding pad on my Makita. Lots of hand sanding and i usually hold the work piece in one hand and the sander in the other. i'm very rough with sandpaper and burn it through pretty quickly. i've used diablo and gator in the past as well as the Festool brand which i think suits the other two is far superior.I needed a lower grit to do some dirty work and based on the price I thought I'd give it a try.I sand hardwoods almost exclusively and got this paper for the first time yesterday on Mahogany,Walnut,Cherry,Spanish Used cedar and maple and was totally impressed!The grain is extremely tight and leaves t chew through the wood well. Again, I don't like sandpaper, and a sheet of armadillo performed nearly twice as well as I expected last time. I hook up my sander to a vacuum and after use the paper backing was still in great condition as was the grain on the paper although there were some broken areas around the edges (which is based on my usage). I will definitely use other cereals if needed. These drives are excellent value for money.
