This playpen is definitely big enough for two little players. It even comes with a bag of balls, 30 in total. Actually, it's not portable to put on and take off quickly. We keep it in the basement and it stays there. I followed the instructions when assembling it. This is good because it fits in a tote bag. If you were traveling and needed a larger playpen, you could easily bring one with you. The carpet is thin, we have it on the carpet and it's fine. Hardwood or cement will be a little hard. The sides feel stable and secure. It has a zippered door design for babies/toddlers to easily crawl in and out.
