Review on 🐖 PIGMOON Dual Probe Meat Thermometer 2021: Instant Read with Backlight, Magnet & Calibration - 2 in 1 Digital Kitchen Cooking Food Candy Thermometer for BBQ Grill Smoker by Sanai Rosario

Lots of features but slow reading

Thermometer doesn't measure temperature quickly. It says it's instant, but it's more like 8 seconds to reach 165°F and 13 seconds to reach the boiling point of water (212°F). It drives me insane because it takes so long to get a reading and I give off a lot of heat when I open the oven door or grill lid. If the temperature is in a small range of numbers, the thermometer works decently. For example, I sautéed/cooked some lamb chops and was able to quickly get readings for each chops as they were only a few degrees from the first one I checked. But if you're trying to cook a candy at 300° to crack, you'll have to stand there for a while to get that value. Storage. It is easy to clean as the probe wipes well. The thermometer is USB charged and has a battery icon on the indicator screw to show the available charge level. It has a backlight that can be activated by pressing the light button when grilling at night. There is a magnet on the back of the thermometer so it can be attached to the oven, grill or fridge. It also has the ability to set a temperature alarm so once you've reached your desired temperature it will beep continuously. I don't want to use something like that. The brochure states not to use the cable attached to the external sensor in temperatures above 716°F, as exceeding that temperature could damage the cable. It also comes with a magnetic timer that is very easy to use. The probe and timer are optional features, but I feel the manufacturer should have just focused on making a thermometer with faster readings. I can use my phone, microwave, stove or Alexa to calculate cooking times. Due to the many grammatical errors on the packaging, I would not recommend it to anyone as a gift. It will look like you want to give them a cheap gift. Caution instead of warning. You are the best choice, not your best choice.
