I was looking for a good oscilloscope in the 100 MHz range. I rarely work above 50MHz so this would be the perfect oscilloscope for me. The 1202X-E is an interesting beast. I don't have an issue with the scope itself, but I do have an issue with the Siglents product/feature and pricing model and where the scope falls into that gap. Siglent also offers the 1202x and 1102x models in this class. Ignore the covered front vent and ripple button as neither of these visors can be upgraded beyond the features offered. You must get 1000X+ for an additional $300. What do you get for $300? This extra money only gives you the opportunity to upgrade to more functionality, but does NOT include the functionality itself. You still have to pay for the software to enable this feature. This is simply a missed opportunity for Siglent to generate revenue. Customers may not need these features initially, but they may need them later, but Siglent has put up a $300 barrier, which hurts these entry-level models. At the moment I see the only difference between the 1202X and 1202X-E in the 8 inch LCD screen. Why buy 1202x for $170 more? Both have the same functions. Their 16-channel logic probe costs $370 and only works with the 1000X+ series. When buying this oscilloscope, pay attention to its characteristics. Make sure it includes all the features for your current and future needs. Anything beyond these features requires a brand new scope. I think that's what the "X+" stands for. +$$$ and XE probably means "-" expectations
