Just what I need to add the correct USB capacity to my monitor dock

I bought this hub to pair with my Philips Brilliance 272p monitor which includes Ethernet and 2 USB ports that are unreachable. Connecting a powered hub gives me useful ports on my desktop while maintaining a true single-cable USB-C connection to my laptop. This hub has the advantage of ports on both sides, allowing the user to access the ports from the front. accessible to the user for quick plugging and unplugging and ports on the back that don't get in the way of permanently attached peripherals. An external power source ensures your peripherals don't draw too much power from the main USB-C connection, and there are enough charging ports to charge your iPhone about as fast as your own charger. The speed is good. Although I have a hub-to-USB connection on the monitor going to a laptop (which also uses gigabit ethernet and a 4k monitor over the same cable) via a single USB-C, it takes about 4-5 to write seconds . 135MB of video to a secure IronKey drive and a split second to copy the same file back to your desktop. I have tested the hub on both Windows 10 (MS Surface Pro and Dell XPS13) and Linux Mint 19.3 (XPS13). Plug and play in all cases. As long as this hub exists, I can't say anything bad. And I expect it to last. This isn't the first Sabrent hub I've used, I have two of their small 4-port hubs running 24/7 on a Raspberry Pi RAID-10 NAS.
